Facing Reality: Youth Mental Health is a Global Issue on the Rise

  • Worldwide, 1 in 7 adolescents has a mental health disorder

  • In the US, we have declared a National State of Emergency in Children’s Mental Health  

  • Suicide is a leading cause of death of youth ages 10-14 and has increased by 60% since 2007

  • 70% of the youth who have a mental health disorder will never ask for help

The consequences of failing to address adolescent mental health conditions extend to adulthood, impairing both physical and mental health and limiting opportunities to lead fulfilling lives as adults.

Why is Mindfulness important for Athletes?

Student Athletes across all levels and ages face varying mental challenges. Maintaining confidence, coping with pressure, learning time management, cultivating identity outside of athletics, balancing a social life, communicating with coaches, and remembering to have fun are just a few things they must learn in order to be successful

The power of breath can be utilized in a way that optimizes physical exertion, recovery speed, and stability. It can also calm nerves, increase focus, and regulate emotions before, during, and after physical performance.

Why Kore Vibration?

Mindfulness and Breathwork are typically not as accessible as technical sports training and strength building. It is not a formal subject in school.
Coaches have to be responsible for the entire team, so catering to the emotional needs of every athlete on their team is nearly impossible. Generally most coaches don’t have the skillset to teach social and emotional learning.
This is where we come in :).

    Everyone :). Wellness is a priority for everyone at all stages of life no matter your age, gender, or occupation. We work with people ages 5 - 65+.

    It truly doesn’t matter where you live as we can help anyone remotely! One beauty of COVID taught the world how to transcend state lines. We are currently based in Oahu, HI, but we help clients remotely from all over. Ah, one beautiful thing about technology!
  • Why do you teach coding?
    Coding is currently an indispensable skill-set and will continue to be as technology (for better or worse) will increase its already dominant presence in our society. Coding at it’s Kore is problem solving and critical thinking, which are both incredibly important skill sets to develop. Additionally, it can be an avenue for someone to quickly close generational financial gaps.
  • What do you mean by Wellness Empowerment?
    Every single one of us has the capacity to grow, adapt, and change. We want to Empower You to take the reins of your health, wellness, and happiness and create your dream life. We give you the seeds, the starter information, routines, and habits so that you can eventually become the caretaker of your own wellness garden. Learning how to rely on ourselves is really the only sustainable way to live a healthy, fulfilled life. Some of us need more time than others to make it to this stage, but our goal is Empower You to become the best version of yourself so that eventually our services will become irrelevant because you will cultivate the skillset to do this work on your own.
  • How can you help me when I’m so busy?
    We can develop a highly customized program that fits your busy schedule. This program focuses on solving your unique wellness challenges. Whether you want to smash a specific goal or need help getting started overall, we tailor your program to your current status and provide a roadmap to your desired future state.
  • I’ve tried other programs already, what makes yours different?
    Along with prioritizing general physical health (exercising, stretching, and diet) we also incorporate mental and emotional health goals into your customized program. We explore other avenues of growth such as developing your passions, discovering your creativity, or learning something new. Whether you need help building out a routine, changing habits, or getting inspiration for a side hustle, we can incorporate a truly holistic and customized approach to your wellness empowerment program.

    We develop elite mindsets for student athletes across all sports. We have hosted workshops for volleyball, basketball, and soccer players to name a few. Athletes face mental challenges at all levels, so we in turn have helped at the collegiate, high school varsity, competitive club, and 1st grade levels. Additionally, we work with student-athletes 1:1 as well for those who want a customized curriculum tailored to your specific blockers.
